We offer MYOB on-site training for all MYOB software namely Accounting, Payroll, RetailManager and Business Intelligence. 

The MYOB onsite training is a personalised, hands-on training; customised to your company needs.  We will use your actual data in the training, so you enter actual records as you are being trained. 

For the complete implementation package, our MYOB consultant will discuss with you your needs, your constraints and your timeline in order to be able to come up with a training schedule that will meet your requirement.

1. Why do I need training, in the first place

Yes, we don't deny that MYOB is easy to use.

MYOB software is rich in features,  and some of these features don't seem apparent to the user, unless its' usage is highlighted in the context of the individual business settings.   These features are not critical to the everyday running of the business, but they will help you make better decisions. 

We have come across several business-owners who have set up the entire system on their own.  They are not accountants;  they are entrepreneurs who are used to taking challenges in their stride, and learning a new software is one of them.  And generally, they are able to produce a set of accounts to present to the tax authorities and auditors. 

As trainers and consultants, we will highlight those advanced features so that you will get it right the first time. 

When we come onsite, we focus our training on your actual situation, and existing processes. We will provide advise on how best to process the transaction by using the MYOB software in your daily routine.

 


 2. Coverage Area 

Most of the onsite training is conducted for our customers in and around Klang Valley.  We do accept requests to conduct MYOB onsite training for customers situated outside Klang Valley.  So far, we have provided on-site training for MYOB users in the following states in Malaysia

3. Onsite Training : MYOB Accounting

We have 2 types of MYOB onsite training packages which are conducted at your office premises :

1. Half - day training session 

2. Getting Started Right :  Complete Implementation package

  1. I know how to setup MYOB.  I learned it while I was in college / university.  
  2. I know how to use MYOB. I used it in my previous employment.   
  3. I should be able to setup MYOB by myself. I have setup other accounting software before this.
  4. I need help to setup the opening balances only.  I can handle the daily transactions.
  5. I have some knowledge of accounts, but this is the first time I am using a computerised accounting software. 
  6. I don't have any knowledge of accounts, and this is the first time I am using a computerised accounting software

Half day On site Training / Support  session

If you fall under category 1 , 2, 3 or 4,  you may not need extensive training.  

You may need some time with us to discuss your specific needs, maybe to customise the business forms, or to import the customer and supplier master records from other system, enter audit adjustments or start a new year in MYOB.  You can also engage us to troubleshoot the out-of-balance figures in the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Stock Reconciliation, or the GST reconciliation.    

 
Complete Implementation package ("Gold" package)

If you fall under category  5, 6 or 7 above, you may want to take up our complete MYOB implementation training package to help you set up the MYOB system as efficient as possible. 

We usually carry out MYOB Training at client's premises, using your actual data in the training. 

We will first get an overall  understanding of your business, and find out who's doing what process.   We will ask you to specify any specific reporting requirements that you need, want and must have.

Based on the information we have collected, we will train and advise you on the following key areas:

  1. setting up the Chart of Accounts / Accounts codes that best reflect the specific requirements
  2. setting up project / department codes, where relevant
  3. enter the customer and supplier balances from last audited / management accounts
  4. enter the balances of other accounts from the last audited accounts
  5. enter accounting transactions as they occur.
  6. monthly bank reconciliation.  
  7. backup and maintenance procedures
  8. troubleshooting methods
  9. design forms (invoices, purchase orders, payment vouchers, receipts, statement) that are specific to your business
  10. how to print cheques in MYOB
  11. customise the reports
  12. advance reporting to help you manage your business better
  13. GST reporting and forms

By the time we complete the onsite training, we would have covered all the procedures for the  transactions that are specific to your business, and including a session on how to read and analyse the reports generated by MYOB Accounting program.  

We will sign off after you and your team members have completed the accounting cycle for 1 month.  This will  ensure that the accounting records are brought up to date.  

The time required to complete the implementation will depend on your business size and complexity, as well as the extent to which the MYOB features are used.

After the sign-off, we will provide support - telephone and online support,  and additional visits, if necessary. 


4.  Onsite Traning : MYOB Payroll

Hands on training to set up your MYOB payroll to process your employees' pay. We will use the actual employee data, and guide you to process 1 month's payroll, from start to finish

  1. Create new payroll data file
  2. Create payroll categories and leave categories
  3. Setup Employee’s profile
  4. Assign payroll categories to the staff
  5. Process payroll for 1 month
  6. Preview and print payroll reports
  7. Generate payslips, EA forms, and government statutory forms
  8. Generate journal entries for accounting purposes
  9. Maintenance & Security

Training can be completed in 1 day.


 5. Onsite Training  : MYOB Retail Manager

Running a retail business means you need to properly manage your cash and inventory. We will provide training for  2 major parts of the implementation

Part 1 : initial setup of retail system

Initial setup is the most critical part of the implementation process of a retail business. You do not want the cashiers to face a long queue on the first day of the shop opening.  You need to input the thousands of stock items into the system. Fast and accurately.

We have implemented RetailManager for bookshops, mini markets, and pharmacies. We know how best to get the stocks into the system in the fastest time, so that you can be ready to open your shop when you want to.

We will  train and guide you to setup the MYOB Retail Manager. We will use a lot of Microsoft Excel and Import / Export features available in MYOB Retail Manager to speed up the setup process. 

 

part2 : train the cashiers how to operate the system 

We will provide hands on training for all your cashiers. We will do a dry run, and the cashiers will take turns to handle transactions, such as

  1. cash sales
  2. credit sales
  3. discount
  4. returns
  5. serial number tracking
  6. accept different payment types
  7. query for stock balance
  8. promotional pricing
  9. cashing up at day-end
  10. stock take
  11. receiving stock into the system
  12. running reports

MYOB RetailManager is the best software for a retail business that handles lots of inventory.  A good POS software can help you increase your profits. MYOB reports will track your average dollar sales, average number of transactions and much more. These data are very important in a retail business.  After all, the retail business is a numbers and volume game.
